Cultural Workshops

Our Cultural Workshops work so well because they are really flexible, we can come to you or you can come to us and can be tailored to suit any school or organisations specific wants or needs. We have successfully run workshops for kindergartens, out of hours school care, primary schools and high schools, universities, community & aged care centres and government departments.

Marra Dreaming specialises in traditional basket weaving, beading, Aboriginal art, canvas painting, porcelain painting, feather-flowers, placemats and bookmarks.

We also facilitate murals with contemporary Aboriginal themes on-site at schools, community centres and health centres. Murals have been very popular as participants of all ages have the opportunity to contribute and be involved in the painting process. Schools and community/health centres are then able to showcase and highlight their awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal culture.

We offer all day cultural experiences on-site at Marra Dreaming as well. These all day cultural experiences are great as the participants get the opportunity to try five different activities, see Aboriginal artwork created by local artists, listen to some storytelling, as well as indulge in a homemade try platter with damper, kangaroo and a selection of fruits for morning tea.   Lunch can also be provided if required. This cultural experience can also be tailored to half day experiences to suit your budget.
